PROPERTY | CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTANT
Venteon Finance is hiring a PROPERTY CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTANT to post accounting transactions and ensure that costs to location/jobs are reflected accurately.
In addition, manage subcontractor agreements and budgets.
Work will be performed in Bingham Farms, MI daily.
POSITION TYPE:
Full Time.
Direct Hire.
Salary target:
$ 65,000 to $75,000 annually.
Requirements of the Property Construction Accountant:
o Bachelor's degree desired, not required.
Equivalent construction acting experience will be considered.
o Previous experience supporting a property management company or construction company required.
o Accounting experience that includes AP, AR, Account reconciliations and general ledger work.
o Technical skills:
Strong Excel capability including creating /updating spreadsheets.
QuickBooks and Yardi (or another property management software) desired.
o Excellent organizational skills.
Duties of the Property Construction Accountant:
o Manage Subcontractor agreements for each job in Procore construction management software.
o Process and manage construction/renovation job setups and budgets.
Tracking of costs to projects.
o Oversee and assist with processing Accounts Payable transactions:
account reconciliations, approving vendor invoices for payment, preparing month end accruals and performing journal entries.
o Oversee and assist with Accounts Receivable transactions:
Generating invoices, posting payments to customer accounts, account reconciliations, preparing for month end and performing journal entries.
Cash flow reporting.
o Receiving and posting checks with ACH Payments timely.
Reconcile bank accounts.
o Reconcile credit cards and other tied accounts, work with differing departments to find missing costs and to balance the statement.
o Work with bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software such as Yardi, QuickBooks, etc.
o Manage accurate income (AR) and expense (AP) account classifications.
o Work to fix or revise any expense account discrepancies.
o Maintain vendor files to keep historical data for each vendor and project.
o Provide analysis of budgeted job cost to actuals.
o Provide back office support to Project Managers.
o Collaborate with your team to solve urgent financial/accounting needs.
